Monday, April 7, 2008. Friday 4 April, ECOSOC NGO Forum. The ECOSOC NGO Forum took place in the ECOSOC Chambers, United Nations Headquarters in New York, from 3-6 PM on April 4, 2008. The forum serves as a preparatory event for the 2008 High-Level Segment of ECOSOC, and is an excellent platform for organizations in consultative status with the Economic and Social council to share their best practices and success stories. Meditation Practice Resources in Tucson. The Arizona Meditation Research Interest Group promotes the interface between modern science and traditional meditation practices. We seek to enhance scientific understanding of contemplative practices found throughout the world, to encourage ongoing research efforts focused on contemplative science, and to serve as a venue for conversation between scientists and meditation teachers and practitioners.
